I’ve been getting back into this movie lately and I love how John Williams’ music interweaves with the dialogue at certain parts of the movie. I put several MP3’s on my iPod which were ripped from the DVD soundtrack and I listen to them on the way to work.

Swapatorium
I love how this site celebrates vintage photos and forgotten mementos by offering them up on the internet for the rest of us to enjoy. Seeing what Angelica finds allows us to imbue the objects with new memories and experiences that we collectively share and I love that. SWAPATORIUM: Star Wars Slides

This is one of the best slide show depictions of a "Star Wars" movie I've ever seen. I love the way the kids did it strictly from their memory of seeing the movie in the theater. There were no VHS or DVD's back in 1981 so it's really cool to see how perennially inspired kids are by the "Star Wars" movies.
This slide show fills me with positive memories and ideas, because observing the product of a creative child proves that I can do more, with less, and still achieve outstanding results. The key is to be free of limitations and absolutely believe that your creative and original ideas will succeed in telling your story. I hope someone out there can lead me to the maker of this wonderful presentation because he deserves a pat on the back.

5K Runs Feel Great!

This past weekend I ran in the Santa Anita Derby Days 5K Race, and it was awesome! I never would have thought that in the fourth month of 2007 I would have been running in a 5K race, but I did it. I would recommend it to anyone, because you don't have to run the whole race. Most people walk 3.1 miles at the shopping mall and don't think anything of it. We brought our whole family and even signed up our 5-year-old Zachary in the kid's race, and if you look at the proud look he has, it gives you a sense of how good it feels to share that with him.
I'm definitely going to do this next year and I would love to share in this type of joy with others.
